For your comment, I’ve installed Acrobat Reader, to my surprise it has been already set as default, I’ve tried to change the default to Edge usign the instructions above and tried to set Adobe again as default, it worked. I can say you need to do the setting up default reader process only once unless you switch the defaults between the apps. Make sure you correctly copy the backticks between the parentheses. Thank you Mike for command prompt solution! Now all my PDFs open in Acrobat X automatically. I should have thought of it sooner but glad you did when I hadn’t! I have been having the same issue and should have thought of this sooner. Now it works, since i uninstalled Reader.

I was wondering what the heck was going on! I assume the above where you go to . PDF in the list and then change viewer may work. I use Foxit Reader and that have asked whatever I want to change a lot of time but it haven’t worked. Used the above and by file extension or whatever and to .
Changed that to Foxit Reader and I assume it will work now but who knows. It worked perfectly for me. I have just followed the above instructions and can confirm that they do work! Using Edge I can’t mark so this is not a solution for me. How should I notify microsoft? We’ve tested it already before trying this method, it did’t worked.
Thanks to everyone here ! I’m unable to open some files in EDGE Browser. Do you have any easy steps to follow so that i can print files in EDGE browser directly? How can you able to print PDF files from Edge when you can’t open in it, check those PDF files in other PDF readers like Sumatra PDF so you can know issue is with the Edge or the PDF you’re trying to load. Just click on the current program selected and it lets you select from a list of available programs. That will work for Adobe Reader, bu won’t work for Foxit Reader, because it’s not in the menu list! Thank you, I now have my Reader back as default!
